Central, South And North Idaho Bush Trip Bundle

(6 customer reviews)

$13.99

This 48-leg adventure will take you to the most beautiful and remote locations in the Idaho backcountry, all while navigating challenging weather and landing strips. From Nevada to British Columbia, Canada, these three bush trips will get your adrenaline flowing while showing you why Idaho is regarded as the best state for bush trip flying in the lower 48.

This package contains three separate Bush Trips, the 15-leg Central Idaho Bush Trip, and the 15-leg South Idaho Bush Trip,  and the 18-leg North Idaho Bush Trip. These Bush Trip adventures can be played directly from the Bush Trip Menu in Microsoft Flight Simulator. For a limited time, save off the retail price of $14.99 by purchasing this 48-Leg Idaho Bush Trip for Microsoft Flight Simulator bundle.

These bush trips are an in-game experience, just like the bush trips that came with the game. Your progress will be auto saved and you will have the directions, distance, and ETE embedded in the on screen NavLog as well as access to the ‘back on track’ feature. I have also made it so you can fly whichever plane you like as well as added the ability to adjust date, time and weather, something you could not do in the original bush trips designed by Asobo. Additionally, our in-game experience has detailed weather settings to add to the challenge and beauty of your Idaho Bush Trip.

See for yourself why these bush trips have received nothing but 5-star reviews from the Community.

These bush trips are one great and big flying-adventure. So far I have flown 10 legs in the Idaho Central. Very well designed and thought through in the details. You can see that there is a lot of work has gone into this. I have purchased the combi Nort-Central Idaho. Nice those varied weather conditions on each leg. Idaho backcountry is beautyfull! I would love to fly here for real! Asobo did a great job on the scenery. A bit cumbersome to edit 2 FLT save files after closing MSFS To get the weather icon in MSFS (this workaround will be explained in the extensive enclosed documentation)

. Probably this is no different due to shortcoming of Asobo? The developer is very helpful and quick with response and solutions. On his recommendation I installed ‘Weather preset pro’ and this makes a big difference in the experience of the different legs. A recommendation I would like to make is to make ATC accessible during the bush trips. The flights are otherwise so “lonely”.

Hi Peter, Thanks for the review! For the weather and the ATC issues, those are both built into the Bush Trip architecture and I cannot change them. Especially the weather, I wish I could fix the autosave feature. That hack is not even supposed to be possible in their bush trip architecture, but I found a way. As for the ATC, it is built in, but also, in following the blueprint left by Asobo, these bush trips are made to be just a pilot and his visual waypoint information and nothing else. This is the way they were designed by Asobo, so even if I could turn on ATC, I don’t think I would. Much like the VFRP map being accessible. It takes away from the challenge of the bush trip, so I wouldn’t include it.

Having not played flight simulators for years, I really enjoyed the MSFS bush trips as a way to build on the flight training and further learn in the simpler VFR environment. After finishing the pre-installed bush trips I wasn’t ready to jump into IFR flying so was looking for community content to provide further challenges. These Bush trips provide that and then some. Other than a weather-related bug – no doubt due to a limitation in/lack of SDK documentation from MS (with an easy workarounds – simple edit to the text save file before starting the SIM) – these fit in seamlessly alongside the existing Bush Trips. They look and feel like they could have shipped with MSFS and in some ways exceed them. The addition of different weather conditions adds greatly to the ambience, it results in some very challenging landings, and some spectacular, unforgettable experiences, such as flying through the Salmon river canyon in fog. ( I thoroughly recommend purchasing the SoFly weather presets to quickly set the weather conditions, though manual weather settings are also provided if you are happy to tinker with these at the start each leg ). While the author is also kind enough to share the routes so you can then fly them without paying for the content, I think it’s well worth spending the money so that you spend your time flying and you can see visual track of your progress and the next leg.

Friendly as always. TIP….(In the XCub…When pitot heat comes up press Shift+H..for now cause the Cub cannot de-ice)…The rest i cannot tell, just fly yourself in this adventure! For 15 euro i got the Bundle and the Sofly weather presets. Believe me…its worth it! Thanks BusMan and give us more and waiting for the next adventures!! Greetings from (The Always Flat) Netherlands

Haha thanks man! Yeah, sorry for the delay in the next one, but life got a little crazy around here with my ‘actual’ job. Stupid jobs. But, look for a BUNCH of new ones before the end of November 🙂 Thanks for the kind words!

Really enjoying it! Need help with the weather and time

I have finished the Southern and Central Idaho challenges and they are certainly more challenging than the four that are included with MSFS. I’m now working on North Idaho and thoroughly enjoying myself. Be certain to read the README file. The information re. the weather is vital. I too would encourage people to buy the SoFly WPP weather presets. The time and weather settings absolutely make these challenges as much fun as they are. Idaho is a wonderful place to fly over.

Need some help. I have the problem with the weather…I get is simply by starting the next flight then hitting escape to stop. Then the weather adjustment is gone from my screen as mentioned. However every time I make the changes to the SAVE.flt nd and SAVE__0003.flt (or whatever) When I restart I am back to mission 1…( I know them up to 4 by heart 🙂 ) I am using the SoFly bundle for weather.
    I don’t see the SAVE_AUTOSAVE.flt folder.
Can anyone tell me how I can proceed.
    thanks David
