North Idaho Bush Trip For Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

(6 customer reviews)

$4.99

This 18-leg spring time adventure will take you to the most beautiful and remote locations in the North Idaho backcountry, all while navigating challenging weather and landing strips.  Much like the Central Idaho Bush Trip, mountains and rivers dominate the remote landscapes of northern Idaho. This trip is so extensive, we couldn’t keep it all in Idaho! From the Bitterroot Wilderness in Montana to the Palouse in Washington, this exciting trip will show you why this remote region is one of the most beautiful locations in the United States.

These bush trips are an in-game experience, just like the bush trips that came with the game. Your progress will be auto saved and you will have the directions, distance, and ETE embedded in the on screen NavLog as well as access to the ‘back on track’ feature. I have also made it so you can fly whichever plane you like as well as added the ability to adjust date, time and weather, something you could not do in the original bush trips designed by Asobo. Additionally, our in-game experience has detailed weather settings to add to the challenge and beauty of your North Idaho Bush Trip.

See for yourself why these bush trips have received nothing but 5-star reviews from the Community.

For a limited time, fly all 48-Legs of our Idaho Bush Trip by purchasing all three Idaho Bush Trips at once.

I recommend you get this without hesitation. No one develops like Michael. If you thought the Central Idaho trip was great (it was…), you are in for a treat here. Everything is taken up yet another notch. From writing, to weather choices, to the cohesiveness of the route. I also HIGHLY recommend you fly this with SoFly Weather Presets Pro – these add to the wonderful drama the landscape provides. Again, no one develops Bush Trips like Michael. These will stick with you and you WILL want to return to them again to revisit these surreal natural landscapes. This is way better than anything the default Bush Trips provided. This is art, this is storytelling. This is why we fly.

Thank you so much Jeremy! I appreciate the kind words! So stoked you (and many others) are enjoying my adventure tours through Idaho

I left a small donation after completing the central Idaho trip just off the web instructions, so after thoroughly enjoying that I thought purchasing this was a no brainer. I have a small admission in that I am only half way through. But so far I love the flavour text on the route card, also a number of the the airstrips are really challenging! But therefore satisfying when pulled off. I can see a lot of work has gone into it. I think bush trips are great in that the provide some underlying objective to work towards to improve your skills and get simulation hours up, and that interesting geography (plenty of this) makes great eye candy as well as upping the challenge. I am not using SoFly weather but may consider getting it in future.

It is professionally produced and appears in your bush trips menu in the game as the original 3 provided by Microsoft. Installation is pretty simple – really just drag and drop – you just have to locate the “Community” folder…

If you are using Steam this was where I found my ‘community’ folder, you may have to click the show hidden items tick box at the top the Windows Explorer pane to get the community folder to show. worked to integrate the package into the game, C:\Users\mblan\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community\

Some tips if purchased MSFS from the Microsoft store here: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/content.php?21235-Finding-The-MSFS-2020-Community-Folder

I am considering going back to get the integrated version of the Central Idaho trip.

I highly, highly recommend these Bush Trips by Mike Bonocore. He should be on Asorbo’s payroll. They are my favorite part of MSFS 2020. I often purposely strayed off-route to explore airports, towns, valleys and the area history. The possibilities are endless! My next road trip to to The West will include Idaho. My technique to fly the missions is to take-off in cockpit view, for the real-life immersion, then switch to external view so as to take in the stunning scenery, then a little before landing, switch back to cockpit view. Also, Mike is quick to respond to a message about a question or problem you might encounter. Well, I think while I am waiting on the next rendition of this adventure, I will fly this one again…

A genuinely beautiful experience, especially when paired with Weather Presets Pro. Without a doubt, this eclipses any of the bush trips in the base game. Real care has gone into matching the time of day, weather, and routes, to create an immersive and awe-inspiring experience. If scenic flying in MSFS2020 is your thing, then I can’t recommend this strongly enough.

The only negative is the weather bug, which requires you to edit two text files each time you close the sim in order to fly with the correct weather/date the next time. If there is no way to fix this without an update from Asobo, then I’d encourage the developer to consider providing a script which auotmatically updates the files.

I purchased Northern Idaho and the weather presets. This has been the most fulfilling part of MSFS2020. I’ve done some of the MSFS bush trips and use OnAir, but I like the Northern Idaho trip the most. I’ve done about 6 legs so far. Some of the landings are tricky, but that’s also part of the reward. Well done and I highly recommend!

    Amazing VR “TRIP”!!!
Northern Idaho Bush Trip is my favourite ” flying” with Msfs 2020 . Specially taking the Weatherprsets and Time recomendations …this well chosen presets and specially the small challenging Take offs and Landings is what really distinguishes this Bushtrips from all the otheres i tried . I couldnt wait to fly them again once my HP Reverb G2 VR Headset arrived… I got it now and now i “sit inside” and i am really “flashed” of the beautyfull Landscapes using these time and weatherpresets seeing a landingstrip in a forest not larger than the tomatogarden of my neighbour , where i wouldn´t even land in my older days as paraglider and knowing i will have to takeoff from there even if i have landed somehow..
